Is it beneficial to do the same full body strength training routine every day? I ask this because that seems to be what the 30 day shred is and that seems to help people get results, but I was always told you were supposed to rest a day in between. Was I told wrong?

I've never done 30 DS but I would not consider it strength training. I'd say you are safe doing it as often as you wish. If you are truly strength training, you do want to give your muscles at least 24 hours rest before you hit those muscle groups again.

There is strength training and then there is strength training.
The rest day rule of thumb implies heavy lifting. Think free weights where you are doing 3 to 5 sets for 4 to 12 reps depending on your routine and goals.

30DS does include resistance moves and will build some strength for most people (in particular the target audience). It's primary foucus is cardio and muscle endurance. It more closely resembles circuit training than weight lifting.

If that is your program, then stick with it's guidelines cited in the accompanying documentation.
