Weight Machine Workout Questions

I'm 5'2" and weight 267. Made the commitment for a new me in 2013. Joined a gym and have started with the exercise bike. (Gotta work up to the elliptical). I would like to lose 100 pounds and also inches because I would feel alot better and look better too. Wanting to figure out a workout routine with the weight machines. What's the best ones to start with? How do I determine how many reps? How much time should I start out with/how often? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    It is crucial that you have someone at the gym you are at show you around and teach you proper form--usually with a membership you get an orientation or a couple visits with a personal trainer. Each gym has different equipment so no one here can really teach you the equipment. That's what they are there for so take advantage and they should be able to start you on the right track.
