I know I know, joined right after New Years how long will this guy last right?? To be honest no clue myself... but an honest try is going to be guaranteed at the very least.
Never really cared too much about the weight before as was always the "the loveable big guy" to all, and even though I have been big ever since pretty much middle school I always carried enough fat guy strength to leave the odd bully along the way hurting. Now 6'2" and for the longest time billed myself as being 250 lbs as well, seemed like a good enough "honest" number. Might have been true 4-5 years ago but now at 26, and with a career behind a desk and no change to poor past eating and activity habits, it has crept up to where I just no longer feel comfortable with myself. Bit shocked when i stepped on the office "biggest loser" mechanical scale to see 292 lbs staring back at me. Ran out and bought a pricey digital home scale and sure enough even stripped down was looking at 288 lbs.
Goal is set at 195 lbs which would put me just at the top end of a normal weight. Close to the 100 lb club which is kinda scary, but still feeling pretty pumped at the moment. Who knows if that will ever be attainable, but going for a change regardless. Hell even back to 250 lbs at some point would be awesome!!
Also, toyed around with the idea of getting things kicked off with a PSMF regime, possibly Lyle McDonald's RFL method, before kicking down into a more realistic long-term approach. Anyone with experience good or bad wouldn't mind to hear from!!
Good luck all!!
