anyone have experience with saffron extract???

i am one that struggles with bordem and tired eating (mindless eating) - i work nights and have a toddler so i am chronically tired and sometimes find myself without thinking about it eating to stay awake.

recently some people have told me about saffron extract that claimes to prevent overeating and curb cravings.

I have found this info:
According to Healthy Body Daily, in clinical studies, women taking Satiereal saffron experienced:

100% reduction in the desire to snack
50% fewer instances of eating between meals
Less hunger
Moderate weight loss
More energy
Better mood

sounds like a great deal - wondering if anyone here has tried it -
I don't want a get skinny fast pill - i am just wondering if this would really help me fight my biggest weight loss enemy tired/bored eating.

(please don't bash me for thinking about taking a pill to help me... i am not perfect. but PLEASE if you have true helpful input please please post)

I've never heard of it being used like this but I'll bet it is VERY expensive since saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. I always have some handy though so maybe I should try it out. Any idea how much?

In all honesty, if things like this actually worked the way they are advertised to, then weight loss would be easy. Our doctors would just look at us at our check ups and say "Mary, you are looking a little chunky there...I'm going to prescribe you some saffron extract and that will do the trick".

In my opinion, you would be better off putting the money you would spend per week on these things into a money tin. Once you reach goal weight, cut that sucker open and go splurge on new clothes, chuckling happily all the while when you see how much you can buy for the price of the weekly dose of saffron extract.

If you are over-tired and snacking constantly it may be due to your current lack of sleep. Maybe look at ways to fix that, or look at different ways you can control the extra calories - maybe shave some calories off your meals to allow for snacks in between...or break you meals down into 6 smaller meals so you do get a constant supply of food and still stay under budget.

I hope this post helps to add clarity.
