When do you log your food?

I've seen this topic before but never at a time when I have had a chance to actually read it. I've had a lot going on lately and tracking what I eat has fallen to the side once again. Thankfully I have still watched what I ate and tried to practice portion control so while I have gained back a few pounds over the holidays and don't necessarily like the way my favorite jeans currently fit they do still fit and I haven't completely undone all of the good I've accomplished over the past few years. HOWEVER I have noticed that I have been sluggish lately and my body has been sore from being less active so my real intention is to get back to doing the exercises that had become second nature and I had begun to love (except running, I will NEVER love running...) I also am back in a position where I can track my food again and I've tried different methods in the past but was wondering what works best for everyone else? For me it is logging what I plan to eat for the day in the morning then adjusting as things change. I've also tried logging everything as I eat it which seems to work better for me when my husband is home since dinner plans tend to change constantly with him. I have noticed that when I log everything in the morning though I'm a lot better about not eating as many unhealthy snacks since I have to go in and change my numbers.

Usually, I log it when I have it or within a reasonable time frame (maybe within 30 minutes) otherwise I'll forget.
However, if I know I'm going someplace specific for dinner, I'll go ahead and log what I plan to have so I can have a better idea of how I need to handle the rest of the day.0 -
I log after I eat or at the end of the day. Seems to work best for me otherwise I wont log or I will forget to tweak things.0

I'm lucky that I am a creature of habit so I can go a few days without logging and then put it all in in one shot. If I do eat out or somehting out of the ordinary, I'll log it as soon as I can after eating it.0
