    Same thing happens to McDonalds food. If you buy a kids meal you can literally keep it for months and it will still look the same. Its because of all the preservatives they put in it.

    there's a piece of bread that we keep at work in a plastic sealed bag.

    it's been there as long as i've worked here, over 1.5 years (and a year or two prior).

    not a single speck of mold.

    if bacteria won't eat it, i don't want to either. no nutrition maybe?
