So I've heard before that vinegar and apple cider vinegar can be helpful in weight loss, but had never tried it. I tried it last night and this morning I am 3 lbs lighter. So I'm thinking it must have helped with water retention. I was just wondering if anyone else knows any other benefits of taking vinegar before or after meals.

i'm curious about this too. how much did you have/when did you have it?
  • I am currently taking coconut oil as it's very good for lots of things, including weight loss.
Apple cider vinegar has very good results for aiding in weight loss

how ? what did you do. Can we just drink vinegar??
  • hi guys, okay so if i remember this correctly apple cider viniger does help curb your hunger. your sappose to have it about 15-20 before each meal, if you can handle the tast its 1-2 tsps if not you can always buy the capsuls at any health food store or online. as for how great it works, i personaly dont know but i've read plenty of great things and have wanted to try it. maybe eventually i will, who knows.
well good luck ladies, and remember dont give up!!

Well, I would not personally be a fan of chugging vinegar, but the reason the French eat a light salad with vinaigrette after the main course is that vinegar aids in digestion.

Chugging vinegar breaks one of my rules: enjoy everything I eat and drink.

I have read on the internet adding small amounts of apple cider vinegar ( only apple cider vinegar ) for what ever reason will increase calories burnt through exercise. Whether this is true or not i am not sure but i do do it and have done it in the past when i have lost weight. I'm sure if one would search Google something would come up. I often in the morning mix a drink of lule warm water about a 1/2 cup with a tea spoon of cayenne pepper and some apple cider vinegar with a squeeze of juice from a lemon. this is an excellent cleanse for your liver and will help in weight loss. The cayenne helps as a digestive aid as well.

I diluted about 1 tablespoon in water and drank it with my last meal of the day. The things I read say you can do it with each meal and it helps with appetite and to keep insulin levels down. I do have problems with insulin levels, so maybe it is worth to try it with each meal or eat a salad with a vigegarette dressing at meals.
