Metformin is a medication for PCOS, not a recipe.
I actually found a pretty good site for low glycemic recipes....http://www.kalynskitchen.com0 -
I don't follow recipes. I just cook up whole fresh lean proteins and lots of fresh non starchy veggies. Sometimes I throw them in the crockpot with some tomatoes. Sometimes I stir fry them. sometimes I bake them with some no salt seasonings. Sometimes I chop the protein up and put in a large garden salad with some Walden Farms dressing.0

Its not about low GI
Its about eating balanced meals with protein and fat
focusing on GI load is far more consitant with your goals
basically dont stuff your face with potatoes0 -

Everyone's body responds differently. I have had a lot of success eating low glycemic with my PCOS, lost about 40lbs since doing that. So there isn't one way that works. Eating balanced meals, yes. If you do have carbs, pair with a protein...yes.
And its just not potatoes. Its processed food, sugars, artificial sugars, etc...much more to it.0 -
