I'll be adding big huge pieces of calorie free humble pie this year--adding it to my mental food diary daily too. I'm no spring chicken and the older I get, the more I see and find that I'm far more WRONG about stuff than I'm right about stuff. Everything in me hates the idea that I could be wrong about something. Yesterday, I got really, ummmm...upset about something I couldn't find. I Accused my children of moving it--sure enough I found it shortly thereafter--exactly where I LEFT IT!:indifferent:

I thought about it and asked them if they would forgive me about getting all self-righteous (emphasis on thinking/knowing I'm right) and upset with them and told them I was WRONG. That got me to thinking about this battle of the bulge I'm daily facing. A large part of the issues and answers lies in the FACT that I'm wrong about a lot of stuff and I MUST be humble in just about every aspect of my life...eating, drinking, thinking, speaking and doing if I'm going to succeed in my goals. The children totally forgave me, but the look on their faces, hearing me admit I was wrong and asking them to forgive me was totally priceless and beautiful and revealing to me.

Today--before you or I decide that we have all of the answers and know for a certainty this or that (especially in the area of anger or malice or negative nasty stuff--let's DARE pig-out on a big ole piece of humble pie and before we speak or act, ask ourselves...could I be wrong? And if so, let us get another helping of humble pie and ask the person(s) of our "anger, wrath or bitterness" to forgive us and admit that we are or possibly maybe wrong and handle it--the situation, the person, place or thing differently--from a more humble attitude/spirit.

What does this have to do with non-scale victory????? Believe me, a WHOLE lot--at least it does for me--but I could be wrong:wink: !

Bon appétit :drinker:
