I am in the same boat! Plus I am so bored at work, it's making me think of food more! Ahhhh!0

Try drinking water, it sometimes helps. Also, take a walk away from your desk (if you're at one) for a few minutes to distract yourself. I also find sugar free chewing gum to be good, helps with the chewing and it's only a couple of calories a piece. :-)0

Drink water and green tea. The more you drink, the more you pee. That means, the more you get up and time goes by faster.0

so hungry i had to start eating my salad.
i have a pear for later and i will eat my salad slowly.
This day is draaaaaagging...0 -
OMG!!! Avocado is high in calories! had I known I would've only put 1/4 instead of 1/2 into my salad. but oh so good!0

I completely agree that today is dragging!
I work in a lab so I can't munch while working... but then I scarf down everything in sight on break/lunch. Upping my protein and fat - hoping that will help.0 -

That's why i put both chicken AND avocado in my salad today. hoping to stay fuller longer.
i sit at a desk all day and can eat whenever I want. I eat my lunch at my desk ALL the time and skip coffee breaks...I know...BAD BAD BAD idea. :ohwell:0 -
This may sound silly, but when I eat breakfast I always get hungry before lunch, so I keep pistachios at my desk. They're time consuming to eat (sucking on the shell for the salt, getting the shell off, etc), so I'm distracted by them and I don't think about lunch as much. They're also pretty low cal, so even if I've eat 20 of them, it's not as bad as something off of the tray of goodies in the kitchen! Pistachios fill the time and with a glass of water, they suffice for me. I've had a lot of them today...what is it with the day dragging???0

Try something citrus - orange, clementine, grapefruit - it tricks your brain into thinking you're not hungry, curbs the appetite and is low in calories + plus you're getting your viatmin C. This is also great when you're at the grocery store - if you find yourself hungry while shopping, try smelling an orange or a grapefruit.0

So good to know!!!!0 -
I split my lunch up and eat it in three parts. Miso soup then a sandwich a couple of hours later then a fruit smoothie an hour or so later.0

Snacking at my desk all day is one of the habits I need to break... Right now I'm sucking on a mint and drinking water.0

I feel your pain! I do like the others have suggested, lots of water, tea, black coffee and if that doesn't work, I have an emergency stash of minty gum!
At this very moment there's a tin of left over christmas cookies that one of my coworkers placed on my desk. I permitted myself one (after my lunch, of course!), but I usually keep a bag of veggies in my lunch bag for a just-in-case snack easily transformed into a dinner veggie if I find myself not needing a work snack!
Good Luck!0
