I have actually lost 70lbs since 2010. I got up to 240 and that was the breaking point. I decided to try Phentermine which was perscribed to me by my doctor. I lost the weight very quickly and have kept it off. I stopped drinking sodas and caffine and limited the amount of meat I ate. I would eat fruits/ veggies mostly. Not going to lie, I did have my chocolate and ice cream when I was craving! lol I have gained about 10lbs back in the last few months and am wanting to lost that plus 15-20 more. I have tried Herbalife and was succesful with it so I may get back on that again. I am wanting to try the Raw food diet. Any ideas?

  • I am not sure about the raw food diet. I will say that I did a medical weight loss system that used HCG injections. For it to work I gave up soda and modified my nutrition. It did teach me how to eat properly and we followed the hypoglycemic index. The results were amazing and I was looking inches and pounds. In 6 months I had lost 32inches overall and lost 25 pounds. However after stopping the program, because it wasn't cheap, I put weight back on. I didn't gain all of it back but I was not a trim size. The reason I bring this up is that I think that I took it for granted that I didn't have to work for that body. I did not exercise although when the pounds started coming off I was getting out and being more active as a result. I still had more that I wanted to loose but I didn't follow through and adopted some familiar bad habits.

One of my friends had a great success with Gilad's Quick Fit system. It has a nutrition plan that is balance and fair and it combines workouts for every body zone plus cardio. Her dedication and hard work is what inspired me to give it a try. She mentioned that you just have to want it and earn it.

So before you feel the need to try crazy stuff just do some additional research and see if it is right for you. I can tell you from doing Atkins, South Beach and becoming a vegetarian for 8 months that my body did not appreciate going from extremes.
