The forum was already getting kind of long and everyone that wants to loose 25-30lbs by summer i think that we should have weekly challenges to kick off our weight loss and make sure that we we lose our weight for summer and WE ALL LOOK AWESOME!!!
CHALLENGE FOR THE WEEK: mon 3/17-fri 3/21
-run for at least 30 mins everday day
-work on abdominals - 50 regular sitting up crunches (for upper abs)
- 50 reverse crunches (for those lower abs)
- 25 sit up to the side (for obliques) and each side
* if anyone does not know what anything is just let me know.
* if anyone thinks that is a lot- You can do it you have to push yourself to become what you want

Hummm, that's a tough one. I love to walk, arm weights and ride the stationary bicycle. I did it for 7 days once nad could tell, in my opinion anyway, that it started my body on a , "I need this feeling".
I need to start a journal on what all I do, but I keep forgetting.
I weigh in every 7 to 10 days, but as for a challenge?? I am stumped.0 -
i edited the top and instead of asking i put the challenge up there so everyone could find it. so the challenge is in the first post.0

I'm totally in. My goal is to lose another 10 pounds, but if I lost more than that, I would be totally happy (I could lose about another 30 pounds and still have a healthy BMI). Plus, I'm getting really bored with my workouts, so it will be nice to have motivation to switch it up every week! I'm not sure that I can run for 30 minutes straight (I am soooo not a runner), but I can definatly walk a little and run a little for 30 minutes straight!0

Are you going to have weekend workout goals too, or just Monday-Friday?0

I'm SO in.
I need to loose 25 lbs by summer. (My goal is Memorial Day which is 5/26) But that's really close to June so we'll go with that.
I'm down with the challenge...I might end up skipping a few days because i take this Body Flow class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the ab workout is pretty intense and I'm usually very sore afterwards.
As for the running thing... That's totally what i need. I'm not a runner and I'd like to be, so running it is!
Also, I'd like to add my own personal goal for this week:
GO TO THE GYM ON THE WEEKEND!
Woo!! We're gonna be SO HOT by summer!!!0 -
I'll be up for that challenge too.
what are reverse chrunches?0 -
reverse curl men is you lay on the ground in crunch position and left your legs up pointing the ceiling and instead of bringing your head towards your knees your going to bring your knees towards you head but not all the way just move your legs as far as you have till your butts off the ground.
it gets rid of your POOCH!
and i think that for the weekend we will have little goals but most people cheat on the weekends anyways.0 -
lol....oddly enough, weekends always tend to be my big workout days since i am a full time college student and have classes all week, and feel bad I've only made it to the gym a couple of times during the week, so on Saturdays and Sundays, I head to the gym to work out for a couple of hours instead of hitting the books (though I convince myself in my mind that it's alright that I didn't study because at least I was at the gym!)
i realized today that i really have no idea how to do crunches. i am so out of shape. lol. i layed on the floor and did a couple, but i'm pretty sure i was using my back and not my abs, so.....i'm going to have to look up some videos on youtube about how to properly do crunches (and reverse crunches....those sound confusing. lol)0 -
you can look up ab workouts at self.com0
