I read for the information and as long as they are somewhere close to the mark, it's all good. These are MFP boards not thesis papers. ;)

me too! I'm not their English teacher. I try to be punctual and all but if I can understand it and read it then I am fine. I haven't really read anyone's post that I couldn't figure out what they were trying to say! Lol.

Spare me the suspense, but is you next thread going to be telling people to get dressed?

Would it amuse you if it was? If so, than maybe. ;)

the question is, do people have spell check? ??

and yes, it drives me nuts.

But MFP does not provide a "spellcheck" feature...

It tells me I spell things wrong all the time because I'm Canadian. I hate it, haha.

As for the OP....I can't make myself care. Some people can spell, some cannot. It's not always a measure of intelligence. I don't enjoy "text speak" such as u for you or r for are, but in the end....still don't care.

"Terrible Grammar on this forum" is an incomplete sentence, isn't it? ;-)

TOPIC: Terrible Grammar on this forum. Do people have any pride?

"Grammar" should not be capitalized. The sentence is also poorly written. A better example would be "The grammar on this forum is terrible."

    True that.

While I have a job, I'm too busy beating myself with regret about my choice in majors to care about how people on the Internet spell. If it's too difficult to read, I walk away and cry. Then, someone comes along to comfort me by saying, "There, their, they're."

"Grammar" should not have been capitalized in this sentence.

Either that, or the rest of the words should have been capitalized, "Terrible Grammar on This Forum. Do People Have any Pride?"

Google chrome has a built in spell checker. Comes in very handy.

I bet it does. Though not everyone can change their browser. Especially when used in a work environment. Not that I would EVER abuse my internet privileges at work...like ever.

If you're going to start out by bashing on people about their grammar, you should make sure your grammar and spelling are perfect first. THEN maybe you wouldn't get some of these responses.
