Hello all.
Here is my storie. Been a smoker for more of my adult life. Tried to quit to many times to count. But this time it is finally working. The draw back is I am gaining weight like crazy. I am not a small girl by any means. But was comfortable with my shape. Now when look down there is so much more of me. I would love to loose the weight. But being here in a Canadian winter. It doesn't give the get up and go. So I am watching what I am eating and hopefully when the weather get better. I plan on walking.
So give me some tips on how to keep off the weight and continue the fight...

I quit smoking about 5 weeks ago and I had a pack a day habit for 33 years. The first week of quitting I noticed several extra pounds being put on. Needless to say, I was not happy. What worked for me, and still works is focusing on logging my food intake and exercising on this site. It takes my mind off smoking. And when the urge for a cigarette gets bad? I put in a workout dvd. I keep lots of fresh veggies in the house for munching too.

Good luck! You can do it. Just focus on one day at a time. Think about your heath and the money you are saving by not smoking.
