Oil substitution?

This morning I made some vanilla protein pancakes and they were good but the recipe I found called for 1/2cup oil. Well little did I know after doing a recipe builder and getting nutrition information how many calories the oil was. So what are my options to substitute the oil for the pancakes? I've heard applesauce or pumpkin but I do the same amount of that as I would oil or what? These are filling pancakes and I want to make them again but I can't afford the 600 calories for just 2 pancakes!
