Yes, but you could still be having a negative impact on your body.

No good being skinny if you drop dead of a heart attack at 35 because you carefully watched how many calories you ate, but ate them all in the form of burgers and french fries.

Yes. Even then you can lose weight more easily if you actually eat proper food. Try to eat more complex carbohydrates and keep your protein intake high. It won't be good of you to lose all the weight only to discover you lost a lot of muscle as well as body fat. Exercise and eat as healthy as you reasonably can. You don't need to eat like a vegetarian but don't be silly and eat fried foods all the time. They're so calorie dense you'll feel like you're starving all the time.

Truth: Lose weight to look good in clothes. Exercise to look good naked.

Probably, in the beginning, but even within your calorie range, there's such a thing as too much fat or too much sugar, and it will eventually negatively impact your health. Try to make small improvements along the way and hopefully you will arrive at eating habits that will maximize your health.

The types of health related medical conditions you are referring to typically manifest in inactive, overweight individuals. A diet that's deemed not 100% clean will not be the sole cause of a heart fatal heart attack at age 35 assuming you're staying active and not getting obese. No one advocates a diet where an individuals caloric intake is completely comprised of "burgers and french fries." Since what you eat will not determine body composition, just focus on hitting your macros in a reasonable manner that is still satisfying.

I was just trying to use a glib statement to make the point that nutrition is more than just calories. A laugh generally makes an idea stick way more than any amount of dry academic studies on micro- and macro- nutrition.
