Looking at the big picture scares me.

Looking at how much my weight was last year depresses me how much my weight is now. It's going to take almost a year possibly to get to my goal weight :(

    And if you don't take the steps you need to take, in a year, it will still be a year later, and you won't be any closer to your goal, and be even more depressed about it. If you do take those steps, then every day will get you closer, and in the mean time you'll be feeling better, and getting healthier, and feeling more accomplished with each day.
