wii games

Hi, Does anyone have any suggestions for some fun wii fitness games. I have the wii and will be buying the fitness board tomorrow. I was hoping there is a dance one that I dont have to buy a mat for. Hopefully the games have different levels because I am no spring chicken and have not done this before. I am also looking for some more supportive older mfp friends. Alot of mine no longer log in but I am hoping they will return. Thanks for reading :)

Hi! I bought the board and the wii fit game and do use it when schedules don't let me get to the gym. It is fun, but the problem I have is the one time I used it when my kids weren't around it didn't keep my attention like the gym. But another little problem is that my kids always want to take over and play. I do like the hula hoop game. I find with wii sports my heart rate gets up doing the boxing activity.
  • The Just Dance series for the Wii are great. They do not require any additional equipment and really give you a work out! My teenage niece has them all Iplan on borrowing her oldest one. You can work out at your own level and DO NOT over do it when you start. The wii basic sports games can work you out as well, boxing, bowling, are just a few. This is my first try at MFP and I certainly am no spring chicken or in great shape. I am a good cheerleader if you need support! You can do it.

I absolutely love the EA Sports Active 2 -- it's addictive. The package comes with an arm band and leg monitor so it tracks your actual steps and heart beat, etc. I think you'll love it.

I agree with EA Active 2. It combines strength and cardio well. I think it's my current favorite. Like said above it has a leg band and an arm band that is also a heart rate monitor.

As far as a dance game I really like Exerbeat. It can use the wii fit board (doesn't have to) and it has aerobic, hip hop, latin, and boxercise dancing (along with Karate.) You can use one remote or two (one in each hand.) PLay with one person or two. If you want more of a dance routine to popular music you might prefer one of the Just Dance (I've only bought the Just Dance Kids) but exerbeat keeps me moving although it doesn't have current songs from the radio. More like what you might think of for a dance aerobics class in the gym.
