Am I Sedentary or Lightly Active?

So I'm a college student, so in college I walk all around campus (and it's on a big hill) and I also work out around 5 times a week. So when I'm in college I think I would be lightly active? but do you think that's right or it's higher?

currently, I'm on break, so I sit around the house a lot, but I go shopping, walk around the house doing stuff, and I work out usually pretty much every day. So I have it set to lightly active, should I change it to sedentary?

On a big hill? Any chance you go to Cornell?

I would keep it set on lightly active, wait a few months, and see if your weight loss is in line with the predictions. If you are losing significantly less than you should be, then switch it to sedentary.

I'd say lightly active? You do go out and still workout every day as you have said so I wouldn't consider that as sedentary. :)

I keep mine at sedentary and then add any exercise separately so I can decide if I want to eat those calories or not.

well I eat under my calories every day anyways (usually 12-1300, and I only eat back some of my exercise so maybe it doesn't really matter what it's set to)
but for when I'm back at school should I keep it lightly active or with the walking to class, and walking uphill a lot, and working out most days, would it be more? I just don't want to go into starvation mode or anything, but I don't want to be eating too much.

because on days when I do eat more (like special occasions and stuff) if I'm still under calorie on here I might be over in real life or something.

Oh and no it's not cornell, but it is a big big hill and I live on the top so I have to walk up it after every class, after meals, etc.

As someone who also had to walk up a big hill every day to get to class, I would recommend lightly active. :)

If you are eating under your calories every day and not eating back your exercise calories, then you really don't need to worry about eating too much. As for making sure you are eating enough, go to the BMR Calculator in the app section of the website and calculate your BMR. That is the minimum number of calories you should be eating daily.

I'm a student too - and yip lots of walking around campus, but nothing during lectures, so I keep mine sedentary & add in my exercise - walking around campus is a bonus.
