Motivation through fatigue

I've had success with MFP before, and it's taught me unbelievable amounts about cooking and nutrition.
My current problem is fatigue getting in the way of getting out and about.
For example today, I wanted to go to three shops, which I'd have to do separate walking trips for. I went to the market for meat and some veg, planned to go to the supermarket next and then to a clothes shop for tights, gloves etc etc. Once I got back from the market I was starving as it was lunch time. I had my food, and fell asleep for 3 hours, and fell asleep later in the evening.
So I need to break out of the nocturnal phase the situation has put me in, where errands/work/social time is missed because it's all in the day time, and where exercise is missed because it's not safe to go outdoors at night just to walk or jog. It's just very hard to do errands, chores, work and exercise when your head is foggy but I'd say the most advice I'll be told is "just push through it". It's tricky!
I was thinking protein earlier in the day, eg lunch time would help, and any similar advice would be good. I'm taking in good iron, decent protein but usually later in the day at dinner and generally watching my vitamins/minerals, so I'm wondering if people have advice on breaking the cycle and maybe getting the energy at the right times of day to get the ball rolling.
To give context, I'm only looking to lose a few pounds as I am at 130, I mainly want to tone up and generally be fit and in good shape.
Thanks for your time
