Walking Shoes for Ducks...

I walk like a duck, so I must be a duck, right?
Actually, I walk/run with my toes pointing outward; it's not too bad but I can notice it when I walk towards a glass door and see my reflection. My knees point straight and I recall always walking like this and even notice that my older sister walks like this too. I also have low arches.
I'm looking to find a good pair of walking shoes that will be comfortable when training for my 5K and the actual race. I don't have a bunch of money for orthotics or get fitted; just looking for just a name brand someone can recommend?
