Hi all,

My weight loss journey started Nov 2011 where I lost 21 lbs before stopping tracking as I am now pregnant. However i've decided to come back to this website to keep an eye on what I am eating more so that I am eating healthy things while i'm pregnant! i've 3 months left until my 2nd baby arrives and so I just want to eat as healthy as I can rather than eating whatever (as I done over the xmas/new year period)

So, any tips as to what my calorie intake should be for pregnant, I know they say 2000 cals and then an extra 200-300 in the last 3 months, however does this apply blanket or can I find out more specifically to my body?

I now weigh 189 lbs am 5 6" and was around 182 before pregnant.

2200-2300 sounds like a good number for your height/weight as long as youre not doing preggo burpees or anything lol. Studies have show you don't need to eat an egregious amount for a healthy baby to grow, in essence, don't have to eat for "two".

You and i are on the same boat. I have 3 month before my 2nd baby arrives and i have not been tracking calories for the past 6 months. I'm coming back to track them in order to be more disciplined with my food quality and amount.
This is what i'm going by: Maintenance calories based on your pre-pregnancy weight + 300.
I'm 5'7 and weighed 150 pre-pregnancy, my maintenance is 1750 so i added 300 = 2050. I do workout (run or stairmaster 4 times a week) so on those days i allow myself an extra 200-300.
I bet if you did the calculation for your pre-pregnancy weight it would be about the 2300 you mentioned.
I was very nauseous my 1st trimester and ate whatever i could keep down regardless of calories and it has let me to gain 20 pounds already, so i need an intervention :).
    Good luck.
