should I get some new scales

Hiya my scales are playing up. so I weighed my hand weights and once it didn't weigh it another it did . then few more trys it did on and off. would that be a sign of scales needing replacing.
at the moment each Monday my weights going from 206 down to 179 I weigh every Monday morning. and it's in the same spot not moved.

Did you try testing static weights? (10lb dumbell) That way you can tell how it's reacting and see if you will need to replace since you have already replaced the batteries and you currently find no change.
Otherwise it might be good to invest in a doctor office style scale, they are very accurate.0
