Protein shakes? Yay or Nay?

I've lost 20 lbs and still have 20lbs more to lose (so i def do not want to bulk up). I work out 5 days a week, cardio and strength training. I've had people suggest protein shakes. What do you guys think? Yay or nay?

If so, what kind do you suggest (I personally wouldn't want any protein shakes with a lot of add ins). If you don't think protein shakes or a good idea, why not? I would love to hear!

Protein shakes are really good for you. Whey is the best for general use unless you have a lactose intolerance and then you can try Soy (I don't recommended Soy for men!!). The best time to have a shake is immediately after waking up and immediately after your workout. These are very important times to be feeding your body. Feed it lean protein and you will love the end results as long as you don't have bad eating habits otherwise. When you start shopping it will be easy to get overwhelmed with all of the marketing hype. Some shakes have more fat and carbs along with sweeteners that just aren't needed. I call those "designer wheys". You want the #1 ingredient to be whey protein ISOLATE and not CONCENTRATE. Isolate digests faster and it by far a better source. Congrats and keep up the great work.
