I think it depends on what you use.

When my underwear either gets too lose, or loses its' elasticity, this happens to me! Maybe this is evidence that you are slimming down! Go buy new undies to celebrate!!

I love the xtra short boy shorts to wear underneath. No problems whatsoever and they don't show the line at the thigh because they are up higher.

Is it so hard to find proper fitting undergarments these days? Not to mention, that's not a "wedgie". That's your undies riding up on you. A true wedgie is the kind administered by BIff Tanner or other bully in Elementary or middle school.
