Hey everyone, (kudos to anyone who got the subject reference)
I've been using MFP app for a while (on and off) as a way to count calories, but I never realized they had a community until now, and I do a heck of a lot better reading other people's success stories. (I was also creeping through some of the posts here and it looks like a lot of you have an awesome, cynical sense of humor like myself, which made my day.)
Anyway, the name is Mallorie and I'm 21. I was always a skinny kid until college. I always weighed between 120-125 pounds. April of 2012 I stepped on the scale and was horrified to find out I weighed 153 pounds, and NOT in muscle. I started off with a drastic cleanse and then back in forth between eating right and exercising and...not.
I was at my doctor a few weeks ago and was told I weighed 140 pounds with a normal BMI for my 5'7" gigantor woman height, but I told the doc I was feeling really uncomfortable with my problem areas. My lovely pooch, thighs, butt, and flabby arms. With the help of a dietician, I was told I was not taking in enough calories normally with my exercise level, then I would binge on the weekends. D= Not my goal here. It gets easier to eat better the more I do it, but man, it's kind of hard for me to get it right. I'm here basically to learn how to eat ENOUGH of the good stuff with the amount of exercise I do, tone up and lose the fat on those problem areas, to live a overall healthier lifestyle, and to feel confident.
Oh. I'm a huge hockey fan, so if there are any of those on here, we should be friends and cry about the lockout together. Unless you're a Canucks fan. Then leave.

Nice title, good luck on your journey, and...GO BLACKHAWKS!!!!!!
Ahem. Not that the phrase will come in handy anytime soon but it's good to stay limber. I'm actually going to an Ice game here in Indy (USHL) to get my fix and it's been pretty fun.
Is your user name an Antti Niemi reference? Just curious. Good to meet you...gonna add you if that's alright!0 -

My username is in fact an Antti Niemi reference. Was nice hearing it at the United Center during the 2010 season! I'll make it easier and add you.
I go to a few men's leagues games around my town, and have been to a few AHL games to get my fix. World Juniors have been nice to watch, too.Go Wings!
Red Wings are actually my #1 favorite team. Glad to see a fellow Wings fan here. \m/0
