So, my calorie goal set by MFP is 1200, but I find that for the 3 days I've been using it, I have about 600 kcals left after I've worked out, and yesterday, when I didnt work out I only ate 1220 kcals and thats after eating a chicken kebab! This doesnt seem healthy! Should I be eating more, even though I'm not particularly hungry...?

Hunger is your body telling you that you failed to give the nutrients it needs, not an early warning system for meal times. Don't wait until you are hungry to eat, plan your servings of different food groups and start on that at breakfast. If you don't have fruit or veggies and dairy then it can be difficult to hit all your servings in a day.

If you are eating 1200 cals including a chicken kebab you are highly unlikely to get all the minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, essential fatty acids, fibre and amino acids the body needs for health. Why did you choose a kebab? Research suggests we make less healthy choices when hungry or skipping meals.

    Thanks for your reply!

I eat lots of fruit and veg, today Ive had 5 portions of veg and 2 of fruit today. Don't drink milk really though, maybe I'll have some now!

Had kebab because I was out with my boyfriend! I have no willpower and he eats take aways a lot (not that you'd know!) so we stopped for a kebab at our usual place! It was only grilled chicken and I had half the naan that came with it so not terrible.

I've cut all sweets and chocolate out my diet, only drink one pepsi max can a day (used to drink loads of full fat ones before starting this) and don't have take aways (but I know I will when I'm with him lol).

Does it matter that I eat much less? Should I be trying to eat more even though I'm not hungry...?
