cooking for one portion control

any one have advice on this? I try to make two portions- one for dinner and another to take to lunch the next day at work, but it's hard to gauge how much a recipe will yield

Well, mfp has this super-nifty recipe calculator that adds up all the stuff for you. Sometimes a recipe says it's 4 servings or whatever, but I decide it's 6-8 (or 2-3) based on the calories/serving. So, I you aim for two servings and get 3 or more- bonus-less cooking (and cleaning up). Or try simple things that don't need a recipe-like veggies, rice, chicken, fish, whatever. The package/bag/scale tells you how big a serving is...0
