Tomorrow is January 5th. A year ago tomorrow, my best friend lost her husband while he was over in Afganistan. This is the posting from fb:
About.
Run to Remember Team 5 "Tripwire." Run a 5k anywhere, anytime on 05Jan13. By liking this page you are committing to Run to Remember our fallen brothers.
Description
Run to remember Team 5 "Tripwire." Matthew Schwartz, Bryan Bell and Matthew Seidler were killed in action in Helmand Province Afghanistan on 05 January 2012. By liking this page you're committing to run a 5k anywhere, anytime on 05Jan13.
I do not know the two Matthews, but Bryan was an amazing guy, which in turn, makes me believe that the other two were as well. It takes a special person to join the military, and an even more special person to be apart of the EOD squad.
Why not do this run tomorrow as your exercise, or a part of it. And if you are unable to run as of yet, then walk it. I personally will be doing my "run" on the elliptical since I have yet to run that far since injuring my knee a little while back. Your "push" through it will be them. 3 very young men, who left wives, children, and other family behind.
I hope to see the number of "Likes" on the facebook page jump up quite a bit. The page is called "Run to Remember"
Thanks!
