Not as hungry: good?

Lately, I haven't wanted to eat as much. I get full a lot faster, but definitely still eat enough cals per day (at least around 14-1500, but my goal is set around 17) I'm hoping it's just that my stomach is shrinking so I don't need as much and have adjusted to having a more regimented calorie intake. So...good thing, yes?

I learned my lesson last night about listening to my body for when I'm full. I had leftover pasta and 3/4 of the way through I had pretty much stopped eating (it was probably actually 1.5 servings worth because that was all I had). But, because I didn't want any more leftovers in the fridge, I finished it. And then about 15 minutes later, felt pretty darn sick. So then I thought, "wow definitely ate too much" even though a few months ago, I easily could have eaten it all and been fine. So now I know I need to pay attention and not just try to finish what I have...but see if I NEED to.

Tonight, I couldn't even finish the oatmeal I had for dinner!! Sure was yummy though, with peanut butter mixed it! :)

That's the goal. Your brain has finally caught on that you don't need to stuff yourself with food. Good job!

Same here! I've noticed I don't get up and snack as much. I had a big problem right before bed, but now I am consistently under my calorie goal. Yay!

    GOOD JOB EVERYONE!

I've noticed my food intake is less while I'm at work. A few times this week I packed my lunch box with food I was sure I was going to eat and didn't eat it all. I either gave my food to my dad or brought it home.

One thing I notice a lot is when people first start their "diet" or health journey, their biggest complaint is "I'm always hungry!!" That's gonna happen! I mean, we get so used to gorging ourselves (not everyone) and taking in sooooo many calories.....that when we have to restrict ourselves, we'll be hungry while adjusting to it. Of course there are more filling foods out there that we have to find and probably adjust to eating those, as well. It's all part of the adjustment. It takes time. I'm glad you are feeling good with the amount of calories you're taking in. That's a good sign, I think.
