Going over carbs okay if its mostly fruit?

I've been trying to follow both calories and macros, but have been struggling with fitting them. Particularly the carbs. About half my carb intake today was from fruit alone.

I did, however, have potato bread today and that was probably bread. I had thought it was a healthier choice to wheat bread, but shortly after eating it read otherwise. But I am trying really hard to up my fruit intake and it's hard to do so without going over carbs.

I really wouldn't worry about it if it's healthy stuff you're going over on. If you were gorging yourself on cheetos and junk all day it would be a different story. I know it's different with everyone, though, but my body does just fine with carbs and I have no trouble losing weight when I eat a lot of them. I don't really pay attention usually to be honest.

Eat less fruit and more non starchy vegetables as per most guidelines - you are eating very little veg according to your food diary. Choose low sugar fruits like berries and moderate your serving size to say 75g or 100g not a cup which is highly variable and unscientific. You could also do with more mineral rich foods - if you cut back on wholegrains, beans and lentils you must substantially increase nuts or seeds. Fruit is very healthy but are more vitamin and antioxidant rich than mineral.

    Thanks!

I *think* I get a decent amount of veggies, but I'm not sure. Most of my food is entered as a recipe, so I'm not sure if you can read the ingredients? But my smoothies always have 1-2 cups spinach and I had 5 veggies in my "chicken, rice, and veggies" meal.

But, I will take the input and add more veggies!

Wow five servings of veggies with rice and chicken? I am impressed, I can only do five on one plate without the rice it's soooo much! You don't seem to manage the same other days tho? Aim for nine servings of produce in total, six or seven of which to be veggies, everything counts once even if you think you have more than one serving of it.

My FI is a veggie fiend, so sometimes it feels the veggies out do the other stuff - but I suppose it's a good thing!
