Heart Rate?

So you need to keep your heart rate up and at a certain level for your workout, right. This is a dumb question but how do I know what my heart rate should be? And, if it is lower than what it should be am I going to take longer to lose weight and get healthy?

So your maximum heart rate should be 220 - your age. So if you're 30, your maximum heart rate should be 190. Fat burning zone is 45-55% of that, Cardio zone is 55-65% of that and Endurance zone is 65-75% of that.
I just got a heart rate monitor that is a watch and also shows how many calories you burn during a workout. It's great...Walmart for $27.00!0
