I'm 5'3.5 (believed I was 5'4 for years). Currently at 184, and I eat 1440 calories per day. My goal is set to 1 pound per week, and I lose 1 pound per week.

I was set for 1.5lbs per week, as I started at 220 and had 80lbs to lose. When I hit the 30 lbs lost mark, MFP gave me 1200 calories a day. I lasted 1 day at that mark, bumped it to 1220, lasted a few more days, and then changed my goal. I'm enjoying the food that I get to eat!

My job is a desk job, and I'm not very active at home, so I'm sedentary. I eat back at least half of my exercise calories.

I try to stick to 1500 but on a few days will jump to as high as 1900 (cheat days: 1/week).

I'm 5'4" 122 lbs and I eat 1400-1500 calories. I've been slowly upping my calories as I get closer to my goal weight of 110-115.

I'm 5'5" and my MFP put my limit at 1200. ! checked in at 166lbs and I lost 10lbs in 6 weeks (then put on 1lb over Christmas - whoops!). If I exercise, I just make sure I eat my exercise calories as well to keep myself around 1200. I do go a little over and a little under that at times, but I've been pretty consistent. My goal is about 130lbs, so I'll increase calories to maintain my weight when I get there.

You gals make me hungry I eat approx 2000 a day. I way 128ish and my body fat is still a bit higher than I'd like but I am pretty fit and active. With that said now that it is winter and cold and the most exercise I usually get is in the gym my calories are have been scaled back to around 1500-1700. I am not really trying to lose anymore weight but when I was losing I worked out at least 4 usually 5 days a week and never ate less than 2000 calories. You have to feed your body to lose fat or you will lose muscle.

Goal is set to 1490 (to lose 1.5 lb/week), but since I am breastfeeding I eat ~1800. I wear a Fitbit so I sometimes eat back those calories if I'm more active than usual. If I'm less active I still try to stick to 1800 minimum so I don't impact my milk supply. My son is older and eating quite a few solid meals per day so I claim 300 cal/day for nursing instead of the recommended 500 cal/day when exclusively breastfeeding.

Other people's calorie intake is meaningless. I say this in a very respectful way though. I understand why you ask but it really shouldn't effect what your eating. We are all individuals and what one person loses at may be different for you due to activity levels. body composition etc. Work out your TDEE and minus 15-20 % to have a small deficit, this should lead to a sustainable steady rate of fat loss. 1200 cals a day isn't the magic number. It's just that...a number. Good luck with your weight loss x

I'm about 5'5, I weight 58kg and my body fat is 28%. I'm working towards getting both those numbers down. I aim to eat 1200 a day however I also try to eat intuitively so if I eat more than that (or less, which is unlikely) that's fine. My biggest thing is restriction followed my bingeing and guilt so my main priority is to overcome that which will hopefully lead to a little weight loss.

my calorie goal is 1200 and I do try to remain under it..though many times I do tend to eat 200-300 calories extra. I weigh 120 lbs and my height is 5'3" by the way...you should eat according to your weight and height...

I net 1400 calories but eat about 1700-1800 with exercise and am losing the pesky last 5 pounds. I'm going to up my net calories to 1500 soon because I'm close to my goal and I would like to figure out where maintenance is (my TDEE is supposed to be a little over 1700). I'm about 118lbs now seeking 115 my BF last I checked was 22.9%

I generally try to keep it at around 1200 but on some days I'll think I'm eating quite healthy and will even feel full, but I've barely gotten 700-900, which is pretty unhealthy! I don't exercise a ton but on days when I do its about 20 minutes of running and then strength training such as sit ups, push ups, tricep dips, and squats. Even on bad days, it's usually not over 1300 for me

1200 was WAY too low for me. I started at 155lbs eating 1200 and couldn't do it. I've been eating between 1600-1800 plus my exercise calories back and losing inches/pounds.

Lately, I've been right around 1,600 a day.
