I dare you to come up with a workout that minimizes injury - meaning, uses the SAFEST possible exercises, for most people, maybe with some alternatives - but is effective at building strength, for new lifters over 35.
For example, I now think I might have avoided my current pain if I'd stuck with the RDL and not tried the SLDL. (Had trained to this weight with the RDL, and though the extra range of motion wouldn't hurt. Nope.) Apparently the box squat is better than a lot of other starter squats. Idk, I'm not a trainer.
No jumping, limited but effective range of motion, a couple of options for the big movements.
Gauntlet thrown!
(Or if you could just point me to one for future reference, that'd be awesome too, ha.)
