Oh no.......my dad just came to my door and handed me a bucket of KFC chicken.....legs and thighs...and a container of cole slaw. I just had to have a thigh, then went and checked the calories.....330 calories and 20 grams of fat. :noway: I thought they had changed the way they cooked their chicken as to have less fat. And cole slaw serving isn't a whole lot better, which I haven't ate any yet. I use to eat their three piece meals with mashed potato's and gravy biscuit and cole slaw. I can't imagine what calories and fat I was woofing down then. I am shocked!!!!

I hear ya......that's one that I saved for only a couple times a year, but now that I've been eating so much healthier, I think it would make me sick to my tummy! They changed the type of fats they used to reduce the amount of Trans fats that they cooked with, but unfortunately they didn't cut out much of the fat. We all have our little indulgences and now and then it is totally healthy for us to have it, otherwise this would be a strick diet as opposed to the lifestyle change we are seeking!!!!

I would eat the same thing minus the slaw.
I just love dipping the biscuit into the mashed potatoes w/ gravy :ohwell:

oh no, today my son was plastering the kitchen walls and the electric was off and I couldn't turn on the cooker - we had KFC for lunch! I had a zinger (uk) and even a few chips. :sad:Had to swim hard tonight!!

KFC isn't so bad if you peel the breading off. :) The majority of excess fat lies in the breading..it soaks it up in the fryer. They didn't change the fat content of the food, they just stopped using trans fats to fry it in.

I would wait until my dad leaves and throw everything away. Problem solved!

No I couldn't do that, I don't believe in waste, and he spent a lot of money for it. I can stay faithful to my calories, and like songbyrd said if I ever decide to have a piece to take the skin and breading off.

    I'm the same way.
I don't like throwing food away that's why we have leftover once a week for dinner.

I had already had my exercise in, I raked the yard of all those twigs from the winters ice storm, so I had some extra calories left, I think I still have about 200 left for tonight. :happy:after my piece of chicken......it was a treat , I hadn't had any for a long time. Just can't believe the calories in their food.:noway: What are these fast food places thinking?

It isn't any less fattening, they are just using trans free oils now, same calories, same fat, just less of the kind of fat your body can't process. Yet another great marketing ploy from America's fast food companies!

You could always take it to a homeless shelter. That's what I did when my sister in law brought an enormous, delicious birthday cake for my son in November from the bakery she manages in Manhattan. We had 1/2 the cake left and I didn't want it going to waste so we took it to a nearby shelter so others could enjoy it. I don't know.Just a thought if any of you have a lot of food you don't want to waste.

I dont eat KFC anymore because well I can't simply throw away the skin. I am one of those people who love eating crispy skin... so I just avoid it entirely.

I hear ya about feeling sick after though. I thought I would treat myself to a horrible lunch of delicious taco bell and honestly, I felt sick to my stomach after. It wasn't worth it.

If u really want to eat the KFC, just be prepared to work it off after and also realize that there is more than just lbs that come with KFC.... cholesterol, sodium and whatever else.

Damn, I must be the only person who has no problem in wasting food *laugh*

Last night we went to Taco Bell and I ordered a burrito fresco style. When we went home we discovered it wasn't fresco so I just threw it away. That way I'm not tempted to eating calories/fat I shouldn't be eating. I just went out to another establishment and ordered another dinner that I knew I would eat.

I'm wasteful but it keeps me slim.

It also keeps your pocket slimmer. Plus I hate to think that there are kids out there going with no food and you throw it out. I could not do that. I love the shelter idea though.
