eating after a night out

literally I feel disgusting. It was a friends birthday and we went out for a meal last night, then had a brownie. Then I drank wine, a lot of wine. And had shots.

Then I came back, and binged, on SEVEN mini lindt chocolates, a whole pack of vanilla wafers and half a lindt bunny. i feel disgusting, i tried to go for a jog this morning but i have a leg injury and i couldn't hack.

Is this going to make me gain weight? I read somewhere 3,500 calories is a pound of weight and I easily overdid that yesterday!

Feel so ashamed :(

You need to relax a bit. First, you have to eat 3500 calories plus what your total daily calories to maybe gain a pound of fat. You've probably bloated from water weight gain so if you see an increase on the scale, that's what that is.

And you only had seven truffles?? I have no will power when it comes to lindt truffles. I eat the whole box!

How many calories did you overeat/ drink? A pound of fat is 3500 so if you ate that you might gain a single pound. Use this as a learning experience, and plan how to avoid it next time. Why did you drink all that, was your blood sugar low went you went out or got home? Could you water down your wine next time so you don't lose self control so quickly, not keep chocolate in the house?

Just eat as usual, drink lots of water today. Maybe a walk will help you feel better, but it's not like you need to run off a ton of calories. Don't sweat it, this isn't a race, it's life!

to be honest, if you have been eating at a calorie deficit for a while, now.. then i wouldn't be surprised if this calorie spike results in a weight loss... if it doesn't or you haven't been eating at a deficit for a long time, don't worry about it. just drink lots of water and count this as a learning experience.

I always feel better to fast the next day after a binge or drink juice from my juicer and lots of tea. I get back on track really quickly that way and get inspired to be good to myself. Part of this battle is in part learning how to jump back on when you feel you have failed yourself. Each person has to come up with the right way for them. Hang in there.

I usually overeat the next morning the minute I wake up ...onion rings, cheesy crisps. I don't binge if someone makes me a hangover bacon sandwich though ! just work it off today it's not the end of the world

^^^this - I over ate 1000 calories yesterday and woke up half a pound lighter. It is what you average over the long term that really counts. One day will not make a difference in the long term.
