Volumetrics

Has any one ever heard of the eating plan called Volumetrics? Has anyone had any success with it?

I read about this for the first time today here: http://www.consumersearch.com/weight-loss-programs/the-volumetrics-weight-control-plan It has great reviews.

I am at a point where I need to try something new and this seems to make sense. I bought a used copy of the book on Amazon for less than $4. If it works, yahoo! If it doesn't, I'm only out $4.

I take that back. I cancelled my order for "The Volumetrics Weight-Control Plan" and instead found a copy of "The Ultimate Volumetrics Diet". It was still only $9 and apparently has more info on the plan itself as well as a number of recipes. Nine dollars! Now I really have to commit!

Some time ago, I did the Weight Watchers "Core Plan" which was in essence, volumetrics. It is all about eating foods that are not calorie dense. I lost 50 lbs (in six months) and then kind of quit (lot of stuff going on at the time). I maintained that weight loss for about 4 years and ended up gaining back a few pounds when I had a whole bunch of other life stuff happen. Bottom line, it worked for me.
