Macro break-down

Hi guys,
MFP has been telling me that I've been spending too many calories on protein and carbs and not enough on fat. I drink milk, I use olive spread and I use a small amount of oil in cooking. I'm really not comfortable with raising my fat intake and then not having enough calories left to use for feeling full. I've changed my macros now, so that 50% of my cals come from carbs, 30% from protein and 20% from fat. Does this sound balanced? I'm not able to exercise at the moment, so I've no need for high amounts of protein for muscle-building.
Thanks,
Helen.

I think that's a very reasonable ratio.

The percentage approach to macronutrient requirements is pretty dubious.
For fat, you just have to be careful to eat a certain minimum in absolute terms. What sort of typical fat intake in grams have you been eating ?

I usually go with 40 protein, 30 carbs, 30 fat. .. 20% fat is kinda low imo. If you go over a little on any of them dont beat yourself up. It can be challenging sometimes to get them all to balance perfectly :)
