24 motivational/Supportive friends to help me stay on track

I Have been trying really hard to stay with my goals but do tend to wonder away every now and then. Plus I have an Elliptical but I fear it tends to grow dust between workouts sometimes. My dog keeps me going more we do walks and play fetch and run every night for a good half hour. Any advice on trying to work out a little more, amd helpful hints on NOT Cheating with food.

  • Write down your goals...put them somewhere that you will see them EVERY SINGLE DAY as a reminder of why this is important to you. Then set up a schedule, even if it's 5 to 10 minutes a day on your Elliptical, put it on a calendar and put a box next to it so you can check it off and you again visually see what you are doing. Having your own equipment really means you have NO EXCUSE, I myself have a treadmill and a bike and if I need to fit in 20-30 min before bed because that is the only time left in my day I make sure I do it. Also I love to read, and my rule is, if I want to read that next chapter I have to be either on the bike or treadmill....that helps me too because it's something I want to do and it makes the time go by a lot faster! :)

Your puppy..OMG Adorable! That is a great motivator to move...keep playing with him, running and moving regardless of what it is, is a great start. You just need to make things routine and soon you will add more time and see more progress!

Forgot to add...about the food. Don't look at food as "good" or "bad"...that's where this "cheating" term seems to come from. Instead, monitor your calories, and if you want a piece of chocolate or chips then LOG it and ADJUST the rest of your day. My food diary will show I eat a 'treat' every now and then, I don't do any thing crazy or restrictive and I still lose every week. Hope that helps! :)

Thank you so much, Amazonbella it makes complete sense lol. I guess I really don't have an excuse when I own the elliptical, and my pup would love your advice about playing more. Also your right again. My mother in law makes the best treats so I will have to adjust. THANK YOU AGAIN. I already feel better.
