Garmin Calorie Counter

Does anyone else notice with Garmin devices that they vary quite wildly in their estimates of calories burned in comparison to MFP? I did 206 minutes of cycling (14-15 mph) today and my Garmin 800 said I burned 1094 calories but MFP says 2660. My Garmin Forerunner 305 nearly agrees when running but it seems the 800 seems to be some way out from MFP.
I'm using the lower value to be on the safe side but I'd be interested if anyone else has the same experience?

I would trust the Garmin more since it knows your body and heart rate. I always log exercise based on what my device says. Good luck!0
