Fitness rewards as motivation?

I like to reward myself when I reach a fitness milestone. I usually buy a new workout outfit or treat myself to a beauty service. Does anyone else do this and what is your most effective motivational reward? I used to aim for really big rewards when I reach a really big goal, but when those goals never got reached I was majorly discouraged so I started rewarding the smaller goals and that works much better for me.

I have a friend who is going to take a week away to a resort town where they have a bunch of bike trails as her reward. I like the idea of fitness specific goals. I like to buy clothes to fit my new body, or get a massage... having something to pamper your body for all the hard work it has done.
I agree with the smaller goals. Right now I'm trying to get through a month at a time and if I can be successful for a month, I might do the beauty service/pampering type of thing.0
