Hi, I'm McFlat29 and I'm a....

sarcastic, witty, easy going thirty something. I joined MFP to start my life change. Friends and family tell me NOT to call it a diet. I'm determined to live life on my terms but I want to be healthy enough to enjoy it.
I'm not after a goal weight or size or any kind of number. I'm after a feeling. That moment when I can walk to our shooting range on the back acre of our property without feeling like the oxygen has gone missing or I can chase my nephews for more than 15 minutes. The moment I can put on a dress and like the reflection in the mirror... Those are my goal.
I've been healthy before and I'm pretty opinionated about what works and doesn't work for me. I've been there, I've seen success and failure. I don't believe in fads, I do believe in strength training, and I do believe in trying to work exercise into my schedule in a do-able way. I work as a mobile Sonographer (ultrasound) so my hours are varied. I have limited equipment at home until we finish the remodel sometime this year.
Food is my major downfall. I love food. I love going out to dinner with friends and having a couple drinks. I love life. So I'm here to track my calories and keep sight of what I'm doing because I got tired of carrying around a little notebook and trying to look up things.
I also suck at introductions. I like to just cannonball in, but I figured after a few forum posts, you guys would probably like to know who I was. And, yes, my profile pic is me. Friend dared me to jump on a playground teeter-totter (it's actually a small elephant)... and I did. Trust me, you want a good workout, drag your best friend to a playground when no kids are around -I suggest a rainy day- and just PLAY. Your stomach will hurt from laughing so hard.
