Fasting and emotions

I'm on a doctor monitored fast so don't freak out at the word fast. I am doing it the healthy way. However, I wanted to ask; has anybody else done a fast and found themselves really emotional? I mean I am crying at the drop of a hat, and heaven help us if there's kids mentioned! I was watching family guy the other day and cried over one of their jokes! Lol. I'm not depressed or anything just very very emotional. Everything seems so hugely important. Stupid silly things. I tried to clean my son's room because he's coming back from grandma's this weekend and I couldn't do it. Am I losing it or is this normal?
