Beginners gym routine

Hi all

Im starting the gym tomorrow and although I've been before, never really had a plan in mind!

I play football once in a while and would love to work on my stamina and endurance fitness for this but also want to lose weight and tone up a bit

Can anyone give me some advice on the best things to do as a beginner and some things that might help hold my interest long enough for things to start improving
