How much weight should I lose?

Options
Hi! I'm 5'7" and currently weigh 131lbs.
I have defined muscle, but would love to be 125lbs or less.
I started at 135lbs last week and have been eating 1200 net cal per day (net= caloric intake - a cardio and strength work out each day)

Will this weight loss be noticeable?
If not, how much should I lose?

Thanks for any input! :)

At 5'7" 125-130 should be a perfect weight. Willl it be noticeable, probably not to the outside world, but will be by you. I would suggest you up your calories to about 1500, eat fairly clean, and hit the weights. Let your body decide the perfect weight and don't go by the # on the scale.

You have a BMI of 20 so you probably do not "need" to lose any more weight. Have you looked at your body fat % - good calculator here

    http://www.gymgoal.com/dtool_fat.html

Time to replace a weight number with a BF% number as your goal. Strength training as in heavy lifting will give you the body shape your looking for.

Have you looked at New Rules of lifiting for Women?

    or Strong lifts 5x5 http://www.myfitnesspal.com/forums/show/4618-stronglifts-5x5-for-women

Both are good programs and will give you the look you want.

I'm 5'7" and 128 and I look pretty thin. I wouldn't think there would be too much more to lose. If you just want to firm up and tone, you don't need to LOSE anymore. Just change your body composition to less body fat % and more lean mass. Do some weight training - that's what I'm doing and I'm actually looking to GAIN a couple of pounds of muscle. :flowerforyou:
