Purely out of curiosity. Especially given my facial hair is patchy at best. I'm 22. :grumble:

Sorta now. Definitely not when I was 21. The past year it's gotten WAY less patchy.

Think I was about 16 when it was full-on.....though pretty close beforehand. Think that was right about the time I stopped swinging from the trees and dragging my knuckles

    15. A shave for me lasts about 2-3 days. I don't grow it out because it gets itchy.

I'm 44 and still waiting. But that's mostly because all the red hair interspersed with the dark hair makes it look patchy. ( the curse of being half mick and half wop). Maybe when it all goes gray.

Doesn't help. I'm "salt & pepper" at 40, and it still looks patchy (at least to me)....

I grew my first full beard at 20 years old. Honestly I wasn't really able to grow much facial hair at all until I was like 18...over the years its gotten much more epic. Although it's so itchy and uncomfortable that I am usually relatively clean shaven now. Plus beards don't really look great in my profession.

I made a promise to myself a long time ago that i will never shave anything but my face. I shaved my belly once and oh, the pain. Razor burn and little hooks that grabbed my shirt... Ugh.

I was sporting a mean neck beard by about 18.

    I had a goatee at 18, didn't try for a full beard until I was 30

My brother never could grow a beard. And he tried really hard. Some men aren't so hairy...

My HS graduation pics show off the wicked pork chop sideburns I had (hey, don't judge).
Grew in a full beard the next year.

    Around 15, I guess.

Although I have a couple of friends *down under* that had a full beard much earlier.

Same at my HS beards weren't allowed so I grew the gnarliest pair of chops.

about 13; also the time I started going gray. Some guys beards just don't happen. My friend's 45 and still can't grow a decent beard. He can grow about 6 decent beards spaced out around his face - not flattering :)
