Was watching tv and this ad came on for 48 hour rapid detox. and i wondered who would they are aiming their products at .. there is a quote of some suposed customer who says " i heard celebraties are using these ingredients so i knew it would be good" aaargggh ... who would buy a product from these peoples

There are thousands of products that don't do anything but make your pee yellow. Healthy eating, moderate portions, and positive support is all we need. I disregard all the ads because if they truly worked, there would not be as many members on MFP as there are.

Actually there are lots of people on MFP that have tried or want to try different detox, cleanse, and colon-emptying programs. It's all bunk, but people are always looking for a quick solution--not hard work and smart living.

i was commenting more on the advertising methods than the product. but yes i agree the products are a bit of a worry too

I had to clean my digestive track for a colonoscopy. My tubes were really clean and I lost a few pounds too... I gained them right back as soon as I started to eat again :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: According to those commercials, you are supposed to lose weight permanently and not just a few pounds... Yeah sure and I am the Queen of England :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

My cousin uses these weight loss drugs that make her a b*t*h to be around, but she keeps taking them because she "can't do it without them!" She feels like they are safe because a "Dr" monitors her. I'm like, really? You weigh about 120 at 5'6" and you think a real Dr would keep you on these things? Nope, they want to make money off you at no cost. I guess they do work to suppress her appetite, but not the way I want to go. My sister used these same pills and couldn't figure out why she kept having chest pains. When I told her she didn't have chest pains before the pills she said I was wrong...oddly enough the pains went away once she stopped taking them. Yes, people are really this stupid, sadly!

Oh, I almost forgot. My favorite advertisement is the one for something that says something about eating healthy and exercising and this pill will work. I'm like, "really? Wouldn't that work without using the pill??"

Probably something like "die before you're 30" or "have your heart pound out of your chest, that will help you drop the weight" :laugh:
