New healthy things to eat?

For me, it is so hard to eat healthy due to the fact that I don't know what to cook. Therefore I get bored very easily eating the same old things. Eventually I fall off the wagon and end up eating a bunch of things that I shouldn't. All I really know is things like the obvious green vegetables, chicken cooked without skin, oatmeal, etc. What I want is some great variety in my meals. Something that tastes great and is healthy for me too.

Smoothies - Your imagination is limitless here.

Quinoa - replace it for rice. Have seen some people make mac n cheese.

Herbs and spices are your friends here. I use a lot of thai 7spice powder in stir fries with fresh ginger. Tex mex fajita, cajun, jerk, tom yum soup base, these just happen to be personal faves but there will be more. All are great for ringing the changes with a variety of lean meats or just plain veggies.

I find some great stuff using Google. Google has a recipe search. I find at least a couple new recipes every week, sometimes I find more than I can use.

We make a lot of soups around here. My family enjoys turkey chili the most, very hearty and flavorful & healthy! As far as new things to make, I discovered spring rolls! They are yummy, filling and low in calories... not to mention inexpensive to make if you are near an asian market. Here is the link to my blog where I show how to make them... http://creativeabode.com/spring-rolls/
