BMR, Weight Loss, and Whatever else.

So, despite a million threads I'm still mystified by BMR, TDEE, and how many calories I need to consume to lose weight. Part of this is the second I'm asked to do math, I freak out.
I calculated my BMR using a calculator and got 1627.7. I'm 5'1, roughly 182 pounds, female, 21.
So, If I wanted to maintain while laying in bed all day, that'd be what I have to eat.
Umm. And then I guess I calculated my TDEE on a calculator using that I was "Moderate exercising." I generally exercise 6-7 days a weeks, but it's generally only for 30 minutes or so a day. I also do my fair share of walking daily, but not a huge amount. To/From the metro and work, etc. To the store.. You know, city living without a car.
Anyways my TDEE is 2526 with this setting. So that's how many calories I would need to eat a DAY to maintain my current weight correct? SO then to lose 1.5 pounds a week I'd have to multiply that by 7, subtract 4750, and then divide by 7 to get how much I should be eating a day?
That gives me 1857, which seems steep for someone of 5'1, but maybe it's not. Basically I'm just a tad perplexed.
