Hi! I am in desperate need for some ideas... I do not own a treadmill or any other type of equipment.. and I'm too embarrassed to work out in a public gym.... it's way too cold for walking/jogging outside. WHAT DO I DO?! I have no idea on how to exercise inside or what I can do at this point... I don't want to sit around until it warms up...

  • Work out DVD. Tons of great ones out there. I like Jillian Michael's ones.

I really enjoy doing the at-home dvds. Depending on your fitness level, you can start with something basic like Leslie Sansone and the resistance bands...or you can do insanity/Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. :D Tons of options with the privacy of your own home - no excuses!!

Also check out a website JEFIT, it has a variety of exercises and I am sure there are many that use just your own bodyweight.
  • Zumba DVD's are fun!! :)

Good ideas! Thank you guys! I'm thinking about trying Wii Fit. Maybe that will do some good. I will check out some workout DVDs tomorrow!

Plenty of free workouts on youtube, no need to wait. :D
  • Put on some music and dance!!
  • Have you ever looked inside a gym? Sure there are some fit people, but there are lots of people who definitely look like they need to be there! If you can work out during the day, stop by some morning. You'll see lots of older people there, and if they aren't embarrassed, you shouldn't be as young and good looking as you are Get over being embarrassed. It is so important to get into fitness. Check gyms and find one that provides trainers. Here in Seattle, we have a chain (VisionQuest) that provides good equipment, good classes if you want one, and three initial one-hour sessions with a trainer, and then a 1/2 hr session each month with a trainer and it only costs about $22 a month with taxes (which are HIGH in Seattle). I really encourage a gym and get a gym buddy if you can find one so that neither one of you skips a session because of loyalty to the other. You have to have real incentive to keep up with a DVD or U-Tube at home -- besides you might meet some gorgeous guy at the gym!

Google body weight exercises. Push ups are my saving grace when I can't make the gym and have to do SOMETHING

I'm going to tell you the truth. Leslie Sansone is the greatest because she has been around for years and she's helped alot of people. As of right now, I'm working out to ~Walk Away the Pounds for the Abs~ and I strongly encourage anyone I come in contact with to use this workout because you'll see a difference in your arms, shoulders, legs, hips, butt etc. if you use hand weights instead of the belt you'll see your body slowly change before you. It's all up to the individual on how they choice to use the workout....good luck!
